What customers say?

“ Well, what can you say! A 70s throwback, but brilliantly done. It's like taking part in a sit-com like Mrs Brown's Boys. Basic food well done packed with characters - staff plus regulars! ”

- Kevin Lowe -

“ I’m from the US and this was my first time having an English breakfast. I think our food has gone wrong in the US, because the egg and toast here tasted so fresh and good. First time having fried tomatoes. Thank you UK for showing us the way! ”

- Aprilynn Artz -

“ Was looking for a breakfast place to eat, walk past this place, looked nice and clean so we went in. The lady serving us was friendly and nice, the food was good and the coffee was very good ”

- Loong Su -

“ Nice old school cafe . Sadly no "Poached" eggs for me. Also food was a little over fried up for me inc the mushrooms. Jane who runs the cafe on her own does an excellent job. ”

“ So much well cooked food for great value! Not to mention the friendly and fast service. It's always good to have a go to cafe for breakfast and now I've got mine for Brighton! Will definitely be returning in the future. ”

- Richard Wilson -

“ First thing my son said as he bite into his bacon and egg sarnie was OH WOW! Priceless and says it all. As I bit into mine I had to agree: delicious. ”

- Tania Schnuppe -

“ Loved visiting this little gem this morning. The atmosphere is perfectly British circa 1996, I loved it. Even being on my own, I wasn't bored coz there were lots to look at. Pictures from the area (seeing what west pier looked like before the fire was amazing, such a loss), art for sale, hanging plants and other customers made my breakfast taste even better than it already would have. As a person with many allergies, having a 'build your own' menu is perfect. I had 2 rashers, 1 fried egg and grilled tomatoes. It was all very tasty, cooked to perfection and it was the perfect second breakfast on my last day in beautiful Brighton. Thank you for having me, Jane and Co ”

“ Cute and local eatery in Brighton. If you are in Brighton and looking for breakfast you should stop here. The breakfast was £6.50 including a drink. See photo for food. The fried bread was delicious, which I have not eaten since I was a little girl. And the bacon was nice a thick cut. The lady who served us was a lovely and friendly, and an overall delight. ”
